About This Website

I have been keenly involved in Hi-Tech for many years and have worked on or been a key part of some very cool technology like GPS, Wireless Communications, Solid State Storage Devices, PCs, Medical devices and Military hardware. It’s always been exciting for me to be on the cutting edge of technology. One way to be close to this edge is being a part of a startup organization and doing something that no one has done before.

Trying to develop a product that is unique in a startup environment presents many challenges. Some of these challenges involve basic fundamental questions like ‘how are we going to do this’ or ‘what do we do to solve this’ or ‘why in the heck are we doing this’. It’s from these questions and many more that this website came about. Initially, I didn’t have a clue on what type of part numbering system I should use or what resources I will need or how do I select and use an outsource provider effectively.

After having been through the trials and tribulations of working at startup companies (as well as large and small companies), I decided to create this website and share my knowledge in some of these areas. Granted, this isn’t rocket science and some of this may be just plain old common sense but it is my hope that the information shared here will be helpful to those in need.
